THEME: Integrative Medicine and Integrative Approaches to the Management of Pain Connecting researchers, educators and clinicians working in the fields of Integrative Medicine (particularly those carrying out research in Eastern and Tibetan Medicine, Integrative Management of Pain or in those programs integrating Eastern and Western Medicine).
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION AND DEADLINE:
Your submission (excluding the abstract title) is limited to 450 words.
Abstracts may be submitted starting on Sunday January 1st, 2017.
Email completed Abstract Submission Form as an attachment to both kundewellness@gmail.com and info@ghrf.org with subject of “Call for Research Abstracts Submission”
Abstracts must be submitted by midnight on Wednesday, March 15, 2017.
Accepted abstracts will be announced on Wednesday, March 22, 2017.
Attendance at the conference is not required, however abstract authors are welcome to attend. Conference fees will be waived for authors of accepted abstracts (note: travel costs and other expenses are not provided).

Abstract must be submitted in one of two templates provided. Author may choose either template to present work as best viewed

Template 1: Freestyle Abstract Style best for observational studies, field studies and anecdotes (download: word or pdf)
Template 2: Structured Abstract Style best for research studies presented in usual abstract style (download:word or pdf)
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION CATEGORIES:
Main Category: Pain Management The main focus of this year's symposium is in the management of pain. Abstracts of research in integrative approaches to pain management are welcomed, including treatment, clinical and research methodologies, service provision and basic science
Alternate Categories: To reflect some of the breadth of ongoing integrative research, other abstracts will also be considered in the following fields, even if not focused directly on the management of pain:
Tibetan Medicine
Traditional Medicine
Integrative Health Services
Prevention and Wellness
Meditation Therapies including hypnosis
Manual, movement and nutritional therapies
Basic science in any field of integrative medicine
Epidemiology in any field of integrative medicine
Research Methodologies in any field of integrative medicine
POSTER PRESENTATIONS:
Posters will be displayed in two dedicated and highly visible sections of the meeting areas for the duration of the two-day symposium.
Graphs and images can be included in abstract. Please note that each image included in the abstract is worth 30 words. A maximum of 3 images can be included per abstract. Images should be of high resolution and comprehensible. Images may be embedded in the word file or attached separately
ORAL PRESENTATIONS FOR ATTENDEES: Oral presentations of posters are not required, however those authors who are planning to attend should prepare a brief (1- to 2-minute) oral synopsis of their work.
ELIGIBILITY: This call for abstracts is open to all, including clinicians/providers, students, researchers and faculty.
PUBLICATIONS:
Accepted abstracts will be included in the Symposium electronic program and conference materials.
Abstracts will be listed in alphabetical order by first author.
The title of the abstract and accompanying contact details (name; position, institution; and email addresses if indicated) will be included.
